The rules, in plain words.
Last updated October 5, 2026
These terms cover your use of MilkSisters, the website and app at milksisters.app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use MilkSisters.
1. What MilkSisters is
MilkSisters is a directory. It lets moms who need breastmilk and moms who have extra find each other by town and get in touch. That is all it does.
MilkSisters does not test, screen, collect, store, transport or deliver milk. It does not take payments and is not a party to any arrangement between moms. Nothing on MilkSisters is medical advice.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One account per person, with your real name and an email address you control.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
3. Your listing
What you put on your listing is yours. You give us permission to show it to other moms on MilkSisters, which is the point of a listing. Keep it truthful:
- Only upload lab results that are yours and are real.
- Only add contact details you are happy for other signed-in moms to see.
- Don't list on someone else's behalf.
We may edit, hide or remove a listing that we believe is false, unsafe, unkind or against these terms, and we may close the account behind it.
4. Sharing milk is between moms
Every arrangement made through MilkSisters, whether milk is given for free or sold to cover costs, is between the two moms. You decide together whether to go ahead, how to check the milk, how to hand it over and what, if anything, changes hands.
Informal milk sharing carries real health risks, including the passing of infections and medications. You accept those risks when you use MilkSisters. Ask about health history, look at lab results, and talk to your pediatrician about screening, safe handling and home pasteurization before feeding shared milk to your baby.
You are responsible for following any law that applies to you when you give, sell or receive milk.
5. How to behave
- Be kind. No harassment, pressure or abuse towards other moms.
- No spam, advertising or selling anything other than your own breastmilk.
- Don't collect, copy or share other moms' contact details outside of arranging milk with them.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around the app's protections.
6. Alerts and emails
MilkSisters sends account emails, such as confirming your address or resetting your password. Alerts about moms in your town are shown inside the app and only if you turn them on. We don't send marketing email.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account any time from Settings. Your listing, photos, lab results and notifications go with it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
8. No guarantees
MilkSisters is free and provided as it is. We don't guarantee that it will always be available, that listings are accurate, or that any mom you meet through it is who she says she is. To the fullest extent the law allows, MilkSisters and the people who run it are not liable for any loss, injury or harm that comes from using the app or from milk shared through it.
9. Changes
We may change these terms. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using MilkSisters after a change, you accept the new terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
